Heavy-Duty Vinyl Tarps for Roof Repair & Emergencies

After hail, wind or a fallen limb, a heavy tarp keeps rain out until the roof is fixed. Ready.gov lists plastic sheeting in every basic kit. Cheap poly tarps shred in a few weeks of sun, so we list heavy 20 oz, 22 mil vinyl from Billboard Tarps, a large supplier of new and reused vinyl. A 20' x 20' covers a damaged roof section or a wall of windows; the 5' x 10' stows in a truck; and their largest size covers hay, equipment or a whole roof. Secure tarps with battens or sandbags, not just nails through the vinyl.
